We’re thrilled to announce the formal arrival of padel following the outcome of the EGM, the exhilarating racket sport that’s taking the world by storm, right here at the Hallamshire.  

Whether you're a seasoned pro or new to the game, padel offers a unique blend of fun, fitness, and friendly competition! 

 

Upgrade Now!
Currently, as part of the padel trial, all tennis, squash and racketball members have padel access and booking rights included in their membership. As of Tuesday, 13th May 2025, if you wish to continue playing padel, you will need to upgrade your membership. You can do this by visiting our Reception team. For memberships that are less than 12 months, the reception team can pro rota the fee for the remainder of your membership.

Padel Only Membership 

We will now be offering a stand-alone padel membership. Please note joining fees and court fees will apply.

Court Fees 
Our courts will be available for booking at competitive prices from 13th May. These court fees are applicable to all membership categories. 
- Off-Peak Courts: £20.00 for an hour 
- Peak Courts: £24.00 for an hour 

Peak padel court times will be Monday to Friday 4pm to 9pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm. 
And as a bonus, padel bats are included in your court booking, so you don’t have to worry about bringing your own. Lights are included in the court booking when required.

Who Can I Play Padel With 

​

• WhatsApp Communities - Sign up to our WhatsApp communities to find players of a similar standard looking to play. The QR code for these groups can be found on the Padel Board in the Hallamshire Reception. 

• Box Leagues – Sign up to our Open, Mixed or Ladies box leagues. Find a partner and sign up on the Hallamshire Padel Board. If you are looking for a partner, try the Padel WhatsApp communities. Sign up before 4th May 2025 to take part in the next leagues. You will need to be a Padel member to take part in this activity. 

• Club Championships – There are Men’s, Mixed and Ladies Club Championships starting in July, as well as the open, there are over 35s and over 55s categories to enter. For more information check out the Padel Board in reception. Deadline for entry is 1st June 2025. You will need to be a Padel member to take part in this activity.

Bring a Friend To Play 
Whether you're looking to sharpen your skills, socialise with friends, or just want to try something new, padel is a fantastic way to get active and have fun. You can use your guest passes included in your membership or visitors can pay £7.50 for over 18s and £5.00 for under 18s.

                                                                                                                    
We are running a Recommend A Friend offer through May. Anyone who joins for a 12-month membership will have the equivalent of the joining fee paid onto the their account and the person recommending them.
